Colorectal cancer is the second most common cause of cancer-related death. Across Europe, more than 230,000 people still die from the disease.
Colorectal cancer can almost always be cured if detected at an early stage.
Regular screening for bowel cancer is therefore essential, and should be carried out from the age of 50.
